Created during the 19th century, this artistic volume showcases the profound events surrounding the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, alongside the subsequent rise of the early Christian church. Doré, known for his intricate illustrations, aims to enhance the reader's experience and understanding of these sacred texts
through his visual artistry. This volume includes pivotal stories such as the burial of Jesus by Joseph of Arimathea, the appearances of the resurrected Christ, and the dramatic conversion of Saul. Each vignette serves to illustrate not just the narrative of the Gospel but also the theological implications surrounding themes of faith, redemption, and the transformative power of belief.
