"Za narodov blagor: Komedija v štirih dejanjih" by Ivan Cankar is a comedy written in 1900. This satirical drama exposes political and social conditions in Slovenian society, where public figures claim to serve "the people's good" while pursuing personal power and gain. Two political factions battle for influence over a wealthy benefactor, abandoning principles and morality in their quest for control. Through sharp irony and witty dialogue, Cankar unmasks the hypocrisy of
those who use noble rhetoric to disguise selfish ambitions and corruption. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
