"Die Ermordung einer Butterblume und andere Erzählungen" by Alfred Döblin is a collection of twelve stories written between 1903 and 1905 and published in 1913. These tales explore themes of desire, gender conflict, the fragility of social conventions, and surreal perceptions. Stories range from psychological sketches of self-destruction to battles between artistic will and rebellious bodies. The title story is considered a key text of Expressionism and literary modernism, examining the "dismantling
of the individual" through striking, unconventional narratives. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
