"周禮" by Gong Zhou is a Chinese work on bureaucracy and organizational theory that appeared in the middle of the 2nd century BC. Originally known as "Officers of Zhou," it presents a detailed vision of government administration divided into six departments, each with five ranks of officials. The text outlines duties, responsibilities, and hierarchies spanning governance, agriculture, ceremonies, military organization, justice, and public works. This schematic blueprint occasionally breaks into philosophical discussions
on social harmony and universal order. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
