"浮生六記" by Shen Fu is an autobiography written during the Qing dynasty, with the extant portions completed sometime after 1808. This intimate memoir chronicles the author's life through four surviving records, focusing on his unconventional marriage to Chen Yun, whom he considered both wife and close friend. The work blends personal recollections of wedded bliss, childhood pleasures, aesthetic experiences, and travels with observations on nature, poetry, and beauty. Two additional records were
lost or never completed, leaving this fragmentary portrait of floating life. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
