The Aldine started in 1868 as The Aldine Press: A Typographic Art Journal. In 1871 it changed name to The Aldine: A Typographic Art Journal. In 1874 it changed name again, to The Aldine: The Art Journal of America, which lasted until it ceased publication in 1879.
