Bookshelf additions/updates cannot currently be acted upon

We are very sorry to report that our long-time bookshelf maintainer has passed away. There is not currently anyone who is receiving or acting upon bookshelf requests, including updates and suggestions. If you are interested in working behind the scenes on bookshelves, please contact the CEO or Webmaster (see Contact Us at the bottom of this page).

Prior information on contributing (no longer accurate)

Being a Volunteer for the Project Gutenberg Wiki is a commitment not all of our users want to make. A simpler means of contributing to the bookshelf pages is available. Send an email to [1] with a request to process.

Requests can be:

  • Adding a book to a bookshelf. Please give title and PG number of book, name of bookshelf and maybe a reason.
  • Adding a new bookshelf. For this you should provide a list of at least 5 books. Some page text would be nice also. Best volunteer and do it yourself though.
  • Adding reviews of books. These are definitely welcome.
  • Correcting the text of a bookshelf page. Please be not too nitpicky.
  • Other questions about the bookshelves.

Requests cannot be:

If Robert cannot handle your request on his own he will forward your email to our gutvol-d mailing list where the PG volunteers discuss. Of course only if you allow that.

Please note:

  • Replace _AT_ with @ before sending the email.
  • Include a descriptive subject line. Best use the word "Bookshelf" in the subject line.
  • Don't send HTML email.
  • Be patient. We get a lot of email. If you don't get a response within a few days, please resend your email.
