The best way to get in touch is by email.
Please note:
- Replace _AT_ with @ before sending the email.
- Include a descriptive subject line, or your email will end up in our spam jail.
- Don't send HTML email.
- Be patient. We get a lot of email. If you don't get a response within the time mentioned below, please resend your email.

- General information about Project Gutenberg eBooks or the Project Gutenberg Web pages. Responses typically within one week. Automatic response happens within a few minutes. If you don't get an automatic response, it means your email was caught in spam jail and not delivered -- please rephrase, make sure there are no attachments or HTML email -- plain text! -- and resend.
- Report an error within an eBook (such as a missing word). Currently there is a long backlog of processing for errata reports, because many are quite complicated to research. More importantly, we can never resist doing a full check and update on eBooks when we apply even the smallest fix. You will get an automatic response (if not, see the instructions under help, above).
Weekly newsletter subscriptions
- Sign up for the weekly newsletter. Or go to the newsletter archives.
- Report an error in the online catalog (such as a misspelled author name). There is no automated response, but typically your message is handled within a few days.
- Project Gutenberg copyright inquiries. But see cand.pglaf.org before reporting potential misuse of copyrighted materials. For licensing questions, permissions and other such inquiries, the answer is probably in our Permission How-To. Please don't send email without first checking the How-To. Responses are typically sent within a few days.
- Report an error on the web site (such as a typo or a broken link) or contact the webmaster of www.gutenberg.org, Marcello Perathoner..
- Inquiry about a CD or DVD of our books. But don't send email until you have looked at the The CD and DVD Project, where you can use the automated system to request a physical CD or DVD (via postal mail) or download images to burn your own.
- Request a book being added to a bookshelf page. Please read Bookshelf Contributions before sending emails to this address.
- Contact Project Gutenberg's Founder, Michael Hart. If you don't get a response within a few days, please re-send your message. Keep resending.
- Contact the CEO of the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation, Dr. Gregory Newby. If you don't get a response within a few days, please re-send your message. Keep resending.

For subscribing our mailing lists, visit our Subscribe How-To page. There is a weekly email newsletter, also some discussion lists (gutvol-d is the most active, for discussions among volunteers).
